ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Indiana, I'm a Hoosier by birth, but Boilermaker at heart. I have taught Kindergarten since 2000. Beginning in the Yellow Room at Purdue Childcare Program, then moving onto Dayton Elementary, I finally landed a position in the Lafayette School Corporation in 2002, and have been here ever since. My education includes a BS from Purdue University in Early Childhood Education and Intervention, a Master's Degree in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University, and an ENL Certification from Purdue.
I love teaching Kindergarten. Knowing that it is often the first experience with school for many students and families, my goal is that every child will have a wonderful first experience! I believe in allowing for hands on learning, and it is my hope that in my classroom children will become problem solvers and learn responsibility for their actions.
